Every person wishing to drive the minibus must complete a Driver Registration Form. This allows us to collect information and validate drivers meet the requirements of our vehicle insurance policy. Anyone wishing to drive must submit their form a minimum 2 working days before the loan starts.
The Driver Registration form is online only and needs to be completed by the driver at least 2 working days in advance to allow time for any changes to be requested to the insurance company. For example if someone has endorsement, recent claims, has a notified medical condition etc.
During registration, we collect Driver statements of fact. In most cases drivers can be immediately accepted onto the Minibus insurance policy. Drivers who are unable to answer NONE / NO to all statements of fact may need to provide additional information to our insurance underwriter to determine eligibility to be insured. It can be necessary for a driver to be added to the policy as a "named driver", if there is an increased premium for cover that will be charged to the driver/group and must be settled in advance to secure insurance and permission to drive. Named drivers remain on the policy (and subject to additional premiums) until explicitly removed.
