City of Portsmouth Scouts

Our scouting family

Portsmouth Scouts proudly provides opportunities across the full spectrum of Scouting. From our youngest members in Squirrels to Explorers and beyond with our Scout Network group for 18- to 25-year-olds, there’s something for everyone. You can volunteer with us from age 14, offering people of all ages a chance to share their skills and inspire the next generation.

Many of our Explorer Scouts and Scout Network young adults participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme through Scouting.

We welcome non-members aged 14–18 who wish to complete their volunteering requirement for the DoE with us.

In the heart of our community

Scouting is available in almost every part of our City.  We have 17 Scout Groups, 7 Explorer Units and a Scout Network group which together offer around 1300 young people the change to discover the fun of Scouting.
