Cubs are the second section of the Scout family. Cubs are aged 8 to 10 and get to enjoy a range of activities like camping, fire lighting, exploring, and making new friends. Cubs work towards a range of badges for their uniforms so they can proudly show off everything they’ve achieved.
A young person can become a Cub shortly before their 8th birthday and can stay until just after they turn 10. Some Cubs move up from Beavers, but you don’t need to have been a Beaver to enjoy Cubs.
Cubs move up to the next section, Scouts, when they're 10½.
